Located in the southern part of the Royal Palace complex, the Silver Pagoda is a Buddhist temple and one of the highlights of a visit to Phnom Penh.
It's known as the Silver Pagoda as the temple floors are covered with over 5,000 genuine silver tiles.
You'll be able to explore the temple which features a Buddha statue made of emerald, more than 1,600 art objects and traditional paintings which adorn the walls of the gallery.
The Emerald Buddha sits on a throne in the centre of the temple, beside which is a glass cabinet said to contain the ashes of the Buddha.
On the gallery wall is a painting depicting the Ream Ke period, measuring 642 metres long and 3 metres high. Walk in a circle to enjoy the full impact of the story being unfolded.
