The iconic Mandalay Hill is located close to Mandalay city centre.
Standing tall at an elevation of 790 feet above the surrounding landscape, the hill can be accessed partly by car and by foot. Helpfully there is an escalator if you don't want to walk the last bit to the top.
This landmark attraction boasts two elegant statues of lions at one of its entrances. It's famous for its numerous pagodas and temples, including the Two Great Snakes Pagoda and the Sutaungpyei Pagoda which is nestled on the summit.
The peak of the hill overlooks the city and offers stunning views of the surroundings, especially at sunset.
